Baden and AVCA Extend Partner Agreement

Kristen Ludwick • 13 February 2018

American Volleyball Coaches Association

Lexington, Ky. (February 13, 2018) – The American Volleyball Coaches Association is pleased to announce a four-year extension with Baden that will take the corporate partner agreement through 2022. Baden has been the Official Indoor Volleyball of the AVCA since 2010.

Headquartered in Renton, Wash., Baden is an industry leader in developing high quality volleyballs that are affordably priced and long lasting. Their interest in serving their customers has prompted the development of their standard Perfection® Leather ball - a favorite among college and high school teams, the new VCOR™ Microfiber international and men’s ball – the durable, true-flying ball of the future, the Dig Pink® balls to support breast cancer fundraising, and the Light Family, designed in partnership with Ruth N. Nelson for youth development. Baden also leads the industry in customized balls for camps and events and short-time delivery options.

“In Baden we found not only a terrific ball company, but also a partner that shares our values,” said AVCA executive director, Kathy DeBoer. “They listen, innovate, and take great pride in solving coaches’ problems. We were eager to recommit to this relationship.”

AVCA will continue to showcase Baden balls and carts at AVCA clinics and the AVCA Convention. The Baden Challenge will again challenge 2018 Convention attendees to demonstrate their skills in Minneapolis.

“We are honored and excited to enter into another agreement as the official indoor volleyball of the AVCA,” said Michael Schindler, CEO of Baden Sports. “Our goal has always been to provide the highest-quality game balls for the player and we look forward to supporting the AVCA and its coaches as they train athletes, develop life lessons in their players, and compete for championships for years to come.”

Baden products are widely used across all levels of the sport spanning youth to the most prominent universities around the country. A total of 15 states have selected Baden as their official ball. Baden’s game balls, carts, and accessories are available for purchase through team dealers and their website. AVCA members should watch their inboxes for membership specials throughout the year.
